Getting back to my roots, so to speak. My first foray into type design 20+ years ago was working on music notation software research and development projects.<\/p>\n<p>The resultant fonts will be for use within music notation programs, such as\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/debussy.music.ubc.ca\/\">Noteability Pro<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sibelius.com\">Sibelius<\/a>\u00a0(@<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/AvidSibelius\">AvidSibelius<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.finalemusic.com\">Finale<\/a>\u00a0(@<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/finaleofficial\">finaleofficial<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lilypond.org\">LilyPond<\/a>\u00a0(@<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GNU_LilyPond\">GNU_LilyPond<\/a>\u00a0&amp; @<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LilyPondBlog\">LilyPondBlog<\/a>),\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/icking-music-archive.org\/software\/htdocs\/index.html\">MusiXTeX<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/musescore.org\">MuseScore<\/a> (@<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MuseScore\">MuseScore<\/a>), and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.steinberg.net\">Steinberg<\/a>\u2019s (@<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/steinbergmedia\">steinbergmedia<\/a>)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.steinberg.net\/en\/products\/dorico\/\">Dorico<\/a>\u00a0by former Sibelius engineers (@<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dspreadbury\">dspreadbury<\/a>\u00a0has been writing the scoring application\u2019s progress notes in the Steinberg blog\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.steinberg.net\"><em>Making Notes<\/em><\/a>). The Steinberg folk have been working on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.smufl.org\">SMuFL<\/a>\u00a0(Standard Music Font Layout) which I also plan to support.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m interested in hearing opinions on various aspects of scores you&#8217;ve used.
