Note that Fonts are licensed, not sold. Your use of the Fonts is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this license agreement.

This license is a legal agreement between you, the licensee, and Slanted Hall LLC. It is applicable to the Fonts that accompany this license. By downloading our Fonts, you acknowledge that you understand this license and agree to comply with its terms.

0. Definitions

• Licensee: Customer listed on your order invoice and/or in the "Licensed to:" section in Exhibit A of this document. In this document, "You" is equivalent to Licensee.
• Fonts: The font software you licensed as listed in your order invoice and/or in the Product section in Exhibit A of this document. If you only licensed a single Font, then Fonts is considered singular.
• Number of users licensed: The number of users allowed to use the Font Software, specified on your order invoice and/or in the "Product" section in Exhibit A of this document, between square brackets after each licensed Font. If no number is listed, the default of two (2) users is assumed.
  • For example, a license for two users of Font Name is shown as:
    Font Name [2]
• Intellectual Property Rights: means all worldwide intellectual property rights, including without limitation, copyrights, trademarks, service marks, trade secrets, know how, inventions, patents, patent applications, moral rights and all other proprietary rights, whether registered or unregistered.

1. License

Upon payment, you are permitted to use the Fonts solely as specified in this license. If you are uncertain whether a use is allowed, please contact us at licensing@slantedhall.com. We'll be glad to answer your questions and are generally fair about requests.

The number of users allowed to use each Font is specified in your order, between square brackets after each Font name. If no number is listed, the default of two (2) users is allowed. If more people will be using the Fonts, you must purchase additional licenses.

Users of the Fonts must be members of the same organization or household. A separate license is required for consultants and clients who will be using the Fonts.

This license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable, granting certain limited rights. No permanent or ownership rights are granted.

2. Intellectual Property Rights

All rights reserved. The Fonts, software, and their designs are the exclusive intellectual property of and owned Slanted Hall LLC. They are protected by United States Intellectual Property laws and international intellectual property laws and treaty provisions. Our trademarks, trade names, and service marks shall be used in accordance with accepted trademark practice, including identification of trademark owner's name.

You may not modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the Fonts. You shall use your best efforts to protect the Fonts from unauthorized use.

3. Permitted Uses

You are permitted to use the Fonts to create documents and images, subject to the limitations and restrictions contained herein.

You are permitted to embed read-only versions of the Fonts in digital documents if the Fonts cannot be extracted from the documents. For example, you may produce PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format) files with an embedded subset of the Fonts or converted to outlines. If someone not covered by this license needs to edit a document that includes the Fonts, they need to purchase a license to use the Font.

3.1. Printing with Service Bureaus

If a service bureau requires a copy of the Fonts to print your project, they must agree to ONLY use the Fonts for your project and MUST REMOVE the Fonts from their systems upon completion of your project. You will be fully responsible for the service bureau's compliance; any breach by the service bureau shall be deemed to be a breach by you.

We recommend that you provide your service bureau with a PDF file with the Font embedded.

3.2. Commercial Products

You may not embed the Fonts in commercial products, including but not limited to, applications, games, ebooks, albums, and video products. Use of the Fonts in commercial products requires a separate license.

You may not use the Fonts in projects that allow others to create content or lettering for resale or distribution. This includes, but is not limited to, stamps, adhesive lettering, templates, stencil products, alphabet blocks and temporary tattoos.

You may not publish or broadcast the Fonts in any medium, including, but not limited to, using the Fonts on the web, embedding the Fonts in an application or ebook, or using the Fonts for broadcast purposes. Such use requires a separate license.

3.3. Modifications

You may NOT convert the Fonts to other formats. You may NOT modify the Fonts without prior written permission by Slanted Hall. If permission is granted, the copyright for the modified Font remains with Slanted Hall; the modified Font is also subject to the terms of this license agreement. As with the original Fonts, modified Fonts must not be distributed in any way.

If you need a different format than what we provide or additional glyphs, please contact us.

3.4 Working with clients or third parties

If you are a design firm, advertising agency, or purchasing this license for use by or on behalf of such an entity, the ultimate end user (your client) must also purchase a license appropriate for their intended use of the Fonts. 4. Credit Us and Our Fonts

You agree to use your best efforts to credit the Fonts by name, list Slanted Hall's ownership of the trademarks and copyrights, and our website URL in any design, colophon, or production credits. Sample credit language:

5. Warranty and Limitations of Liability

Slanted Hall is dedicated to producing quality OpenType fonts. Note that OpenType feature support in systems or applications is not necessarily consistent; some environments may not support all OpenType features included in the Fonts. If you experience any issues with our Fonts, please contact us; we will attempt to resolve any issues.

The Fonts are provided on an "as is" basis. You assume the entire risk of the quality and performance of the Fonts. You waive both the implied warranty of fitness and the implied warranty against infringement of third-party rights.

Slanted Hall's liability to you for costs, damages, or other losses arising from your use of the Fonts—including third-party claims against you—is limited to a refund of your license fee. In no event will Slanted Hall be liable for any lost profits or business opportunities, loss of use, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, business interruption, loss of data, or any other indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages under any theory of liability, whether based in contract, tort, negligence, product liability, or otherwise.

6. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

This license is governed by the laws of the State of California, United States of America. Place of jurisdiction and venue is County of Santa Clara, California or, if federal, Northern District of California, San Jose. You agree to service of process at the email address on your order. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply.

7. Termination of Agreement

If any part of the license is found unenforceable, that part will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to effectuate its intent, and the rest will remain in full force and effect.

This license shall automatically terminate upon failure by you to comply with any of its terms. In the event of termination, you must delete all copies of the Fonts.

This license may only be modified if we both agree in writing.
